Nissan could develop Toyota GT 86 and Subaru BRZ rival image

The Japanese based automaker Nissan is planning to develop a rival for the Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT 86 sports cars and the 200SX might be chosen as a rival.

Even if there is no official word on reviving the 200SX or developing a rival for the new Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT 86 sports cars, rumors say that the car manufacturer is currently working on the development of a new model, which will go against the two vehicles mentioned above. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the upcoming Nissan sports car, but the company might take us all by surprise and reveal the new model during an international automotive show not long from now.

As a small reminder, the Toyota GT 86 is 4,240 mm long, 1,285 mm tall and 2,570 mm wide, being powered, just like its “sister”, the Subaru BRZ, by the 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, developed by Subaru and fitted with the Toyota D-4S direct injection technology, which is developing a total output of 187 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 205 Nm of torque (151 lb-ft) at 6,600 rpm. The power is being sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed manual transmission, but an automatic is also available.
