Nissan has pulled the wraps off the e-NV200 panel van concept during the 2012 IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover, Germany.
After it was teased for the German automotive even earlier on this month, the Nissan e-NV200 panel van concept has been finally revealed and, according to the car manufacturer, has been designed in order to preview a production model. The Nissan e-NV200 panel van concept is getting a front fascia inspired by the Nissan Leaf and it has a versatile interior which can hold 4.2 cubic meters of cargo (148.3 cubic feet).
Motivation to the Nissan e-NV200 panel van concept is provided by a lithium-ion battery which is powering an electric motor that is developing a total output of 107 HP (109 PS / 80 kW) and it has a peak torque of 280 Nm (206 lb-ft). Specification details haven’t been released yet but Nissan says that the battery can be charged up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes with the ‘Quick Charge’ system.
The Nissan e-NV200 panel van can become an ideal vehicle for workshops or for mobile restaurants because the battery can also be used to power tools and equipment. The final production model of the e-NV200 will get three configurations: a passenger / taxi version, a family-oriented variant which will be named the Evalia and a panel van. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment.
