The Japanese automaker has decided to lure in more customers to the Note subcompact hatch by introducing an all new European continent-exclusive Black Edition.
This follows the usual “let’s increase sales for the model” scenario, with Nissan treating the Note to black body accents on the front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and also on the headlight bezels. They are part of the Dynamic Styling Pack which also comes with a black roof-mounted spoiler at the back that should increase the sporty credentials of the B-segment five-door hatchback. Exterior highlights are rounded up with a set of 16-inch wheels – of course treated to the black finish as a way of complimenting the side mirror caps and door handles touches. All the exterior tweaks are mirrored inside the cabin where the center console is glossy black and the gear shift knob as well as the headliner share the same theme.
The Nissan Note Black Edition has been developed starting from the midrange Acenta trim level and as such comes with lots of accessories. Among the optional amenities worth mentioning we include the NissanConnect touchscreen infotainment system, the i-Key remote access, or the Auto Pack which sports automatic headlights, fog lamps, rain sensor, and automatic air conditioning. Under the hood two powerplants are available. An economical turbodiesel 1.5-liter with 90 horsepower and a 1.2-liter gasoline engine packing either 80 hp or 98 horsepower. The latter can also be had with a continuously variable transmission in lieu of the regular manual gearbox.
