A Nissan GT-R modified by Switzer and named the R1KX GT-R Red Katana can complete the quarter mile in less than 9 seconds.
The Nissan GT-R is probably one of the hottest cars of the moment and the model just became hotter thanks to the aftermarket specialists at Switzer, who have recently taken on the Japanese sports car and upgraded it. According to the tuning company, the Nissan GT-R in question has been named the R1KX GT-R Red Katana and, besides getting a more aggressive exterior design, Switzer says that the R1KX GT-R Red Katana can complete the quarter mile in 8.87 seconds.
The top speed achieved by the Switzer R1KX GT-R Red Katana at the end of the quarter mile was 163 mph or 262 km/h and the performance was achieved at Norwalk, Ohio’s Summit Motorsports Park, over the last weekend. Switzer said that its latest creation has Alcantara leather and carbon fiber trim throughout the cabin, along with additional goodies, like the premium sound system, but the most interesting feature is the 1,500+ HP engine. No extra details have been announced on the Switzer R1KX GT-R for the moment.
