The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently announced its plans to introduce a Nismo version of the GT-R, later on this year.
After seeing Nismo versions of the Juke and the 370Z, Nissan is now working on such a variant of the GT-R, which should make its way onto the market over the following months. According to the company’s executive vice president, Andy Palmer, the brand new Nissan GT-R will become the fastest GT-R ever made, and the model should be officially presented to the public in November, 2013, during the Tokyo Motor Show.
The upcoming Nissan GT-R Nismo will receive an aerodynamic body kid, which will improve downforce, and the model is also expected to receive a sportier suspension system, beefier brakes and that obvious power boost. Andy Palmer declined to mention the performance specifications of the new Nissan GT-R Nismo, but the power boost means that the 3.8 liter twin turbo V6 will produce more than 542 HP (405 kW). Additional details on the Nissan GT-R Nismo remain unknown for the moment and will probably be announced during the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, over the following months.
