The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently announced its plans to introduce a Nismo version of the GT-R next year.
This is actually the second time when Nissan is confirming the launch of the GT-R Nismo for 2014 after just a few months ago, a company’s representative said that the GT-R Nismo is scheduled for next year. The model in question is expected to get a lot of tweaks to its underbody and engine, and not only, which should make it more appealing to its future customers.
“We are delighted to see that our NISMO models are well perceived by the markets. We are encouraged to introduce further models into the markets, which will surely provide additional thrills and excitement to customer’s lives”, said the NISMO Business Officer head of Nissan Motor Co. and president of Nissan Motorsports International, Shoichi Miyatani.
The upcoming Nissan GT-R Nismo is expected to get the same 3.8 liter V6 twin turbo engine under its hood, which should produce just over 570 HP (425 kW). The 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint should be done in just 2.0 seconds. This means that the Nurburgring is expected to be lapped in less than 7 minutes and 18 seconds. Additional details on the new Nissan GT-R Nismo are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its launch.
