New details on the brand new Nissan GT-R Nismo have surfaced and it seems that the impressive Japanese sports car will have an even more impressive acceleration.
Details on the Japanese based automaker working on a Nismo version for the Nissan GT-R have been already known, for several months, but now new details on the sports car have managed to set it into the spotlights, once again. According to a Nissan insider, who has spoken to the guys at Auto Express, during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the brand new GT-R Nismo will be able to score some impressive figures, which are superbike worthy.
Our source is saying that the 3.8 liter twin turbo V6 engine will produce more than 570 HP (425 kW) and thanks to a lower curb weight and more power, the 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) acceleration will take just 2.0 seconds. The new Nissan GT-R Nismo will get a different exhaust system, some carbon fiber tweaks, red detailing and some other “goodies” which should make it even more appealing in the eyes of its fans. The model should lap the Nurburgring in less than 7 minutes and 18 seconds. The new Nissan GT-R Nismo will go on sale in 2014.
