The Japanese based automaker Nissan has officially announced that the Juke model will be launched in Australia next year.
According to the car manufacturer, the Nissan Juke will be launched in Australia in 2013 and the announcement has been made recently during the 2012 Australian International Motor Show, in Sydney. Besides importing a few units of the Juke, Nissan will also produce the model locally, as a company’s spokesman announced.
“We can confirm the Nissan Juke will come to Australia, with production expected to start in the third quarter of 2013, and we’re excited about expanding our SUV offering locally”, said Peter Fadeyev, spokesman for Nissan Australia.
Rumor has it that the Nissan Juke will be offered with the full European engine lineup in Australia, which will include the four-cylinder 1.6 liter petrol and the 1.5 liter dCi diesel units, along with the top of the line 1.6 liter turbo from the Shiro version. A manual transmission or a CVT will sent power to either the front-wheel or the all-wheel drive. Additional details on the Australian Nissan Juke are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its launch.
