Nissan will introduce the Juke Nismo RS to the United States next month, during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The announcement has been actually made by the officials of the automotive event, who have confirmed the introduction of the Nissan Juke Nismo RS. The model in question will be an even sportier version of the outgoing Juke Nismo but it’s expected to receive a sport tuned suspension system, with new shock absorbers, new springs and unique damping rates, along with probably some modifications applied to the body and to the interior design or the wheels.
Chances are that the new Juke Nismo RS will get a 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine under its hood, which will produce 30 HP more than the current Juke Nismo, to a total of 230 HP (169 kW) and 298 Nm of torque (220 lb-ft). The model is believed to drop the all-wheel drive found on the regular Nismo version for a front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission instead of the CVT, but the AWD is also a possibility, with the CVT option. More details on the model are limited for the moment and will be announced in Los Angeles.
