Nissan Juke-R to be used as a pace car in the 24hr Dubai Race

Nissan has recently announced that its impressive creation, the Juke-R, will be used as a pace car at the 24 Hour Dubai Race.

The Japanese based car manufacturer will “pull the wraps off” the Nissan Juke-R next month, in 2012, at the 24 Hour Dubai Race, where the model won’t compete against other vehicles, but will be used as a pace car. Nissan says that the Juke-R will “cruise” in front of the GT3 versions of the Porsche 911, the Mercedes SLS AMG, The Ferrari 458 Italia, the BMW Z4 and many others. The 34 Hour Dubai Race will take place on the 14th of January 2012 and 80 participants from 31 countries will race each other.

As a reminder, the 2012 Nissan Juke R is using the GT-R’s 3.8 liter bi-turbocharged V6 engine which is developing a total output of 480 horsepower on the sports car, along with its all-wheel drive system, gearbox and suspension, so the engineers really know what they’re doing if they have managed to squeeze all of that into the small crossover. The Juke-R is also coming with a race-spec roll cage which is replacing the rear seats, two racing seats, a GT-R sourced steering wheel, a seven-inch touch screen, pedals and dials.
