Nissan looks to cash in on the Star Wars craze, inks deal with Rogue One movie image

Disney took command of the Star Wars franchise not long ago and they are increasingly ramping up the development on new installments and spin offs – but it all hinges on the success of the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

It doesn’t seem the Nissan Rogue crossover is any time getting to replace the X-Wing fighter, but since the name connection recommends it, it might actually help a rebel fan feel better about what he drives to the cinema in December. Without any Jedi powers we can see the obvious cross-promotional opportunity between the Nissan Rogue and the upcoming blockbuster, with Lucasfilm accepting the partnership and Nissan among the partners for the film, which opens December 16 in the United States.

In case you don’t know anything about Rogue One because you were living secluded on that Island where DiCaprio went right after getting frozen and drowned to death in Titanic, we can tell you this one has nothing to do with the Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie that was released last December. Instead, we find out how the original guys were awarded the Death Star’s plans – there was a group who stole them. And while there aren’t too many details available, of course everyone is rooting for an apparition of the all-time baddie Darth Vader.
