The sportiest version of the new Nissan Note, the Nismo, has been officially unveiled by the car manufacturer as the model in question will go on sale on its local auto market.
The newest model to get the Nismo treatment is the Nissan Note and this has been officially unveiled. The vehicle will become available in two versions, the Note Nismo and the Note Nismo S and it easily stands out from a crowd thanks to its custom front grille, to its modified front and rear bumpers, to its roof spoiler, side sill protectors, red finished side mirror caps and several other tweaks.
“Celebrating Nismo’s 30th anniversary, we are planning to expand the number of models available in our road-car lineup. The Note Nismo we introduced today is truly symbolic to the Nismo brand in that it represents the fusion between motorsports that’s embedded in Nismo’s DNA and the success of the Note as a mass production vehicle”, said Shoichi Miyatani, the Nismo CEO.
The new Nissan Note Nismo has been also fitted with a tweaked suspension system, with revised aerodynamics and in the hotter Nismo S version, the vehicle will be running closer to the road. Sports seats will be offered as standard for the Nismo S and as an option for the Nismo, along with the Recaro seats. Power will be provided by an upgraded petrol engine, connected to a 5-speed manual transmission. More details on the model in question are limited for the moment but this will only become available for sale in Japan, for the moment at least.
