The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently announced that a special edition of the Patrol, named the Simpson 50th Anniversary Edition, has been launched in Australia.
According to the car company, the Nissan Patrol Simpson 50th Anniversary is celebrating 50 years since the first vehicle has successfully crossed Australia’s Simpson Desert and if you thought that its name had something in common with the Simpsons, think again. The Nissan Patrol Simpson 50th Anniversary is based on the fifth generation Series 8 ST grade and the model is offering its future customers features of $8,500 of extra equipment for the same MSRP of $56,990 for the manual transmission version and $59,990 for the automatic transmission variant.
Nissan says that the Patrol Simpson 50th Anniversary Edition is coming with extra features such as the air guide, bonnet protector, kick plates, roof bars, driving lights, reversing camera, Satellite Navigation system with Hema Tracks, new designed Alloy Bullbar, branded stainless steel wheel cover, a 41-liter branded cool box and a lot more other interesting “goodies”. Future owners of the Nissan Patrol Simpson 50th Anniversary will have to decide quite fast because the company is only offering 500 units of the limited edition and the model will go on sale from May.
