One of the most important automotive events of the year in Asia, the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, which will officially open its gates in December, is already keeping everyone in the automotive media busy and the latest car manufacturer who has announced his presence at the event, Nissan, has also teased its new Concept vehicle, named the Pivo 3.
Even if we didn’t hear about the Pivo 1 and Pivo 2, apparently the concepts were presented some four years ago and in 2005 but the Japanese based automaker left them aside until now, when everyone is focused on the Volkswagen Up! and its sub-brand vehicles like the Seat Mii or the Skoda Citigo, and Nissan probably wants “a piece” of the customers who still don’t know whether to buy the German vehicle.
According to the Japanese based automaker, the new Pivo Concept has a seating for 3 in a 1+2 arrangement with the driver sitting in the middle, side-view cameras linked to monitors and some other interesting features but we can’t help notice the similarity of the exterior design to the Renault Twizy, especially the doors.
Nissan didn’t announce any extra details about the Pivo 3 Concept and the vehicle is expected to be officially presented at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show in December.
