Nissan has officially announced the introduction of a new engine for the Pulsar model, which is already available for order.
The Nissan Pulsar has recently received the 1.6 liter turbocharged engine. This has been announced back in 2014, at the premiere of the model, and it is bringing a total output of 190 HP (140 kW), along with a peak torque of 240 Nm (177 lb-ft), available at between 2,000 rpm and 4,000 rpm. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the vehicle needs 7.8 seconds and the carmaker says that it will be burning an average of 4.75 liters of fuel every 100 km while emitting 134 g/km of CO2.
“Nissan is set to give the Pulsar a sporting edge with the launch of a new, range-topping DIG-T 190 engine. Available with three trim grade options, the punchy 190PS turbocharged petrol engine has been developed alongside a range of styling, suspension and chassis upgrades that deliver a sportier, more focused driving experience”, says the carmaker in the official press release.
The new Nissan Pulsar is also bringing, besides the new engine, features such as the stiffened body shell, the new rear dampers, the updated suspension system, the retuned steering and the 18-inch wheels, amongst others. According to the car manufacturer, the Nissan Pulsar DIG-T 190 is already available for order, with its pricing standing in at 19,645 GBP. The model has some serious competition such as the Volkswagen Golf, Renault Megane or Opel Astra, amongst others.
