The Japanese based automaker Nissan is planning to introduce a hot Nismo version of the recently unveiled Pulsar.
The Nissan Pulsar may have been unveiled a few weeks ago but that doesn’t mean that it will be limited to its current version as this is about to receive a hot Nismo variant. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet, but according to the guys from Autocar, a Pulsar Nismo is just around the corner.
“Wherever you could imagine an S or GT grade in a passenger car line-up, we’ll have a Nismo. Generally speaking, we’ll have two levels of Nismo, this is very important because that was the original concept of Nismo, this democratization of performance”, said the company’s boss, Andy Palmer.
Considering the fact that the Nissan Pulsar is aimed towards the C-segment, where it is competing with some heavy names, such as the Volkswagen Golf, the Renault Megane or the Ford Focus, than the hot Pulsar Nismo will go against the hot hatches versions of the same models. Rumors are saying that it will be powered by the same engine found in the Juke Nismo, 1.6 liter turbocharged unit. It is not known at the moment how much power it will develop.
