Nissan is currently considering adding a more luxurious variant of the new Qashqai generation which could be sold exclusively on the Old Continent.
The Japanese based automaker Nissan seems to be taking a step into the same direction of its luxury brand, Infiniti, with the idea of creating a more luxurious version of the new Qashqai generation. The model in question could be “coupe-styled” and it will become a rival for models like the Range Rover Evoque. More premium materials will be added to the cabin and it’s believed to get a new engine too under its hood, even if it will probably be signed by Nismo.
The new Nissan Qashqai generation has been officially unveiled back in late 2013 and it has received a completely new body, a new cabin and some higher quality materials compared to the previous version. The engine lineup of the new crossover is being offered with a 1.2 liter DIG-T, with 115 HP (85 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque, the 1.6 liter DIG-T, with 150 HP (110 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque, the 1.5 dCi with 110 HP (81 kW) and the 1.6 dCi with 130 HP (96 km/h).
