Nissan Reports Global Production Down 4.7% in June image

Nissan reported global production down 4.7% in June to 418,141 units.

Japan production decreased 7.9% to 91,919 units, while production in the other markets was down 3.7% to 326,222 units. US reported a production up 27.4% to 67,881 units, thanks to increased demand for the Nissan LEAF, Pathfinder and Altima. Mexico production was down 5.8% to 59,594 units, UK down 1.0% to 45,842 units, Spain down 10.6% to 12,257 units, China down 12.4% to 91,082 units and the other regions dropped 1.7% to 49,566 units.

Nissan‘s global production in the first half of the year dropped 5.6% to 2,410,203 units, with Japan down 22.8% to 446,363 units, the US down 19.7% to 392,975 units and other regions down 11.7% to 316,490 units.

Sales in June dropped 5.9% to 420,296 units, with Japan down 12.4% to 37,302 units and sales outside Japan dropped 6.7% to 363,851 units. The US was up 12.9% to 104,124 units, thank to increased demand for the Altima, LEAF, Rogue and Pathfinder. Sales in Europe fell 16.2% to 54,985 units, China was down 7.7% to 101,364 units and other regions down 11.6% to 73,354 units.

Global sales in the first half dropped 3.8% to 2,524,499 units, with Japan down 4.4% to 266,243 units, and 3.6% to 2,176,890 units in the other regions.
