The Japanese automaker has taken the online wraps off the Qashqai and Xtrail Premium Concepts that demonstrate the make’s customization prowess ahead of the official public premiere during the Geneva Motor Show.
Nissan has decided to celebrate the sales success and popularity in Europe of the Qashqai crossover and X-trail SUV by introducing two “prototypes” that are actually fully accessorized models. This goes some way to demonstrate the myriad of customization possibilities and the automaker says the Qashqai was designed for the “Premium Urbanite”, while the X-Trail is targeting “Premium Adventurist”. This means in everyday words the first one is to be used in the city and the second will feel at home taking it off-road. The bespoke Qashqai is mostly adorned with a matte black coat contrasted by golden copper accents on the wheel arches, around the window line, on the roof rails, and in the headlight clusters. There’s also real carbon fiber on the lower sections of the body and the 20-inch alloy wheels have a machined finish. The interior has received soft white Nappa leather upholstery with quilting finish and the cabin also boasts a combination of carbon fiber, black satin chrome, and liquid gloss black accents.
The adventurous X-Trail Premium Concept has a matte white paint combined with a deep black matte carbon fiber appearance for the hood and roof. There are also some golden copper accents, on the front skid plate and on the 20-inch alloys. Glossy black is used to tweak the over fenders and body claddings. Inside the cabin there’s a natural tan and black leather upholstery with a “cloud effect” and gold pearl leather piping. Spicing up the atmosphere is the matte chrome black and carbon fiber accents seen on the dashboard and door trim.
