Nissan showcases Micra N-Tec en route to 2015 IAA in Frankfurt image

The Japanese automaker has just unveiled its plans to unveil the Micra N-Tec special version during the 2015 IAA Frankfurt motor show taking place mid-September.

The new N-Tec edition for the Micra will also reach dealerships around the same time and comes with a host of new exterior and interior design cues as well as updated technologies. The latter were mostly seen on the brand’s crossovers and now make their debut in a small format, with the Micra gaining features such as the new generation NissanConnect and parking assist innovations. The model is based on the Micra Acenta and the restrained exterior styling modifications include satin chrome accents, fog lights, privacy glass and 16-inch alloy wheels. Among other features we see the addition of automated rain wipers and rear parking sensors.

Moving to the interior, the second generation NissanConnect navigation system also comes with a host of applications such as TripAdvisor and Google Search. We also have on board auto-dip headlights, auto air conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, blue contrast stitching and chrome/gloss trim.

Under the bonnet we have upgraded versions of the current engines, now compliant with the Euro 6 standard. The choices include a 1.2L 80PS petrol engine which can sip as little as 4.3 l/100 km and the 1.2 98PS DIG-S petrol engine that is even more efficient – 3.6 l/100 km for the extra-urban cycle.
