The Japanese automaker has already decided to reveal in full its Tokyo Auto Salon lineup, delivering an eclectic mix that should have something great for everyone.
The Tokyo Auto Salon is truly Japan’s own SEMA, so the local automakers are making sure to get noticed by the enthusiasts – meaning there’s a lot going on at every booth. It’s all mostly about the aftermarket segment, but carmakers are making themselves noticed by slapping some tuning onto one-off concepts. And Nissan is clearly making the most out of it – they’ll have for example Grand Touring concepts of the Leaf, NV350 Caravan, and X-Trail at the Tokyo Auto Salon. It’s mostly about styling here, with all of them featuring black accents and a subtle hint of a body kit.
The Performance arena is supported by the Nismo versions of the Serena minivan, Note, X-Trail, and GT-R. The Leaf Nismo Concept is also brought for the audience, but the piece de resistance might very well be something that’s a little more retro. That’s because the automaker has also prepared a vintage model – dubbed the Fairlady Z Heritage Edition. It’s a yellow 370Z wearing historic accents that hearken back to the original 240Z.
