The first rendering with the new Nissan Terrano, the rebranded Dacia Duster, has recently made its way onto the web and it might provide us with a first look into what the model may look like.
The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently announced its plans to introduce a rebranded version of the Dacia / Renault Duster, which will wear the Terrano name. The new low-cost SUV will have nothing in question with the classic name and it will be based on the popular Dacia / Renault Duster. The model in question is already being tested these days in India, getting ready for its future customers, which are expected to be able to order it by the end of the year or in early 2014.
The upcoming Nissan Terrano will get different body panels than the ones fitted on the regular Duster but the overall look will be very similar. The model in question will have a revised front fascia, a different rear end and some modifications in the cabin. The petrol engine lineup might carried over from other models in the company’s lineup, but the diesel units are expected to be sourced from Renault, where the 1.5 liter dCi will most likely make its way under the hood of the model. The 1.6 liter dCi is also a possibility. More details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
