The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently presented a special edition of the X-Trail in the United Kingdom, named the Nissan X-Trail Platinum.
According to the car manufacturer, the Nissan X-Trail Platinum is being offered with some extra features which aren’t available on the rest of the range. Nissan says that the X-Trail Platinum SUV is coming with additional protection plates fitted below the bumpers, chrome side steps, chrome door protection, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable heated front seats, reversing camera with rear-view monitor, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity and an new touch screen communication unit with satellite navigation system.
Besides all of these “goodies”, the new Nissan X-Trail Platinum in its special edition is powered with the 2.0 dCi diesel engine which can be mated to either a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission. Nissan says that the 2.0 liter dCi engine is developing a total output of 170 BHP while returning an average of 44.1 mpg. Production of the Nissan X-Trail Platinum special edition will be limited to just 200 units and the order can be placed right away. But before hitting the dealerships, you should know that the price of the Nissan X-Trail Platinum has been set at 29.180 GBP for the manual transmission, while the same version equipped with automatic transmission costs 30.560 GBP.
