Super Veloce Racing (SVR), an official Noble Automotive sales and service dealer, has revealed its intention to partake in the week’s London Motor Show with an M600 customer demonstrator car.
The Noble M600 might look a little date but that’s because it has been first revealed back in 2009, so we’re not exactly dealing here with a youngster – but fret not, the sports car still has what it takes and will show it off with a top speed of 225 mph (362 km/h). Anything in this range will catch our attention, which is why we’re presenting the latest interpretation of the Leicester-built model. It comes with a pretty “Black-Red” paintwork showing its naked carbon fiber roof and riding on 20-inch forged aluminum wheels. The iteration is being powered by a biturbo Yamaha 4.4-liter V8 engine delivering an outstanding 662 horsepower (492 kilowatts) at 6,500 rpm and 604 pound-feet (818 Newton meters) of torque.
This is not for the fainthearted because the eight-cylinder engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox – with its help the supercar will sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds. This is a handmade machine, which runs quick off the mark, with the 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) time being of 8.9 seconds.
This 2016 Noble M600 will tip the scales at 2,641 pounds (1,198 kilograms) because it uses a carbon fiber composite body wrapping a stainless steel tub with a tubular space frame chassis. This lightweight machine will thus have a power-to-weight ratio of 558 hp / ton. You can see the SVR ordered M600 starting Thursday at the L74 stand in the Luxury Pavilion during the 2016 London Motor Show.
