North American “Car of the Year” and “Truck of the Year” list announced
If the Europeans managed to cut down their “Car of the Year” list to 34 models, the American version of the award has 17 cars on the list, added to the “Truck of the Year” where we can find another 7 light trucks, and even if the award will be handed in the United States, most of the vehicles have been made in Europe or Asia.
As a reminder, the 2011 “Car of the Year” award in the US was given to Chevrolet Volt, while the Ford Explorer has been named “Truck of the Year”.
The 2012 winners of the “Car” and “Truck” of the year will be announced in January at the Detroit Auto Show. You can see the nominees below.
