November 2010 Germany Best Selling Cars image

The registration statistics by vehicle segments for November 2010, there are some changes.

In November, Germans bought more cars than in October 2010, and even more than in November 2008. What’s more, November 2010 is only 6.2 percent below the Abwrackprämien-exaggerated  November of the prior year. Germany is coming back to its usual 3 million cars per year level.

Well behind the VW Golf (8.2%), the Polo regains its #2 spot (3.2%) but the Mercedes C Class continues to be very strong and even betters its (already brilliant) September market share at 3.1%. This allows it to jump from #7 to #4 in the year-to-date ranking.

On position 4 there is the Ford Focus with 2.6% share market, followed by Mercedes E Class, Audi A3, Opel Astra and the A Class. First BMW in this top is then new 5 Series that is on the 9th place.
