The UK’s new car registration figures dropped by 11.5% in November but remain on course to surpass the total sales achieved in 2009, according to a report by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

“New car registrations fell by less than expected in November with demand from the fleet sector helping to offset the market rebalancing following the end of the Scrappage Incentive Scheme,” says Paul Everitt, SMMT Chief Executive.

The Ford Fiesta holds the pole position again, very stable at 4.6%, ahead of the Focus at 4%. The VW Golf posts extremely solid numbers for the 2nd month in a row at #3 and 3.7% of the UK market.
