The famous aftermarket specialist of Italian exotics – Novitec – has decided to also showcase its British prowess by starting a program for the McLaren 570S Coupe.
Novitec has become famous in the tuning world thanks to its spectacular work on Ferrari and Lamborghini models, and it’s now aiming to enhance its portfolio by working on the McLaren 570S. The model gets the whole package – increased power, better aerodynamics and a host of other changes. Starting with the biturbo 3.8-liter V8 engine, Novitec has extracted 646 horsepower (475 kilowatts) and 510 pound-feet (692 Newton-meters) of torque – which is 76 hp (56 kW) and 68 lb-ft (92 Nm) above the standard 570S Coupe. Now the sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) will last just three seconds and maximum speed has surged from the standard 204 mph (328 km/h) to 208 mph (335 km/h).
Novitec also said the improvements will deliver better throttle response and improved in-gear acceleration. There’s also a custom stainless steel exhaust for enhanced soundtrack – and the piece can also get lighter if inconel is used instead of steel. The specialists have opted for subtle design tweaks: new front spoiler lip, new rocker panels and carbon fiber air intakes on the side, and at the back a fixed wing boosting downforce. There are also five-double spoke wheels 20 inches at the front axle and 21 inches in the back – as well as sportier springs lowering the ride height by around 30 millimeters (1.2 inches).
