The aftermarket company is well known for its love of all things Italian supercar – and has a long list of Ferrari and Lamborghini projects to back the claim. The N-Largo line of aftermarket enhancements is now also available for the 488 GTB and 488 Spider.

As the name implies, this is a wide body treatment, which makes the hardtop and convertible 5.5 inches (14 centimeters) wider at the rear axle when discussing them against the regular models coming out the Maranello gates. Up front the standard fenders have also been switched to bespoke wings and wheel-arch liners to fit the new set of 21- and 22-inch NF6 NL alloys with hi-tech forging technology. All the changes are not just for show, because they also enhance the flow of air towards the brakes and engine – the gill-shaped slots seen on top of the front fenders vent the heated air from the wheel well while the new air intakes in the rocker panels at the back improve cooling for the rear brakes.

Novitec goes widebody on the Ferrari 488 GTB and Spider 14

Novitec is known for not being one to just put on a show, so the V8 engine of the 488 family (an International Engine of the Year award holder) is being retuned with a couple of plug-and-play control units, integrated into the engine electronics, that provide a remapping of the injection and ignition, along with a tweaked boost pressure control. There’s also a bespoke high-performance exhaust system and all modifications amount to another 102 horsepower (76 kilowatts) for a grand total of 772 hp (568 kW), with maximum torque surging another 132 Nm (97 lb-ft) tp 658 pound-feet (892 Newton-meters).
