The tuning specialists from Novitec Tridente have unveiled their newest specialist program, which involves heavily customizing an Italian executive sedan – the Maserati Quattroporte.
While the premium brand boasts prices that normally would be out of reach for most people looking to buy a new car, the performance kits for the various Maserati Quattroporte models start as low as 1,290 euros. Besides engine enhancements, Novitec offers a wide range of parts and accessories, including carbon fiber kits, suspension upgrades or 22-inch alloy rims.
The owners of the diesel engined variants can have some tuning fun as well, with the 3.0-liter unit hidden under the hood able to churn out after the Novitec treatment no less than 322 PS (237 kW) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque – jumping 47 PS (35 kW) and 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) from the standard setup. The 0-100 km/h figure has been upgraded accordingly to 5.7 seconds.
The Quattroporte S can be fitted with an auxiliary control unit, allowing the engine to deliver 476 PS (350 kW) and 640 Nm (472 lb-ft) of torque – 66 PS (49 kW) and 90 Nm (66 lb-ft) more. Novitec said the all-wheel drive version can now reach 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
Walking the extra mile requires some big “oomph”, so here comes the Quattroporte GTS, with its twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine now churning 605 PS (445 kW) and 820 Nm (604 lb-ft) of torque – 75 PS (55 kW) and 110 Nm (81 lb-ft) above its standard specs. The sedan can reach 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 318 km/h (197 mph).
