Audi, VW Group’s luxury brand reported an increase of 25.8 percent compared to last October – 10,225 Audi models were sold in the United States, the best October.
It was the 10th consecutive monthly record for U.S. sales, Audi said.
Year to date sales increased 16.5% to 95,206. Audi announced that year-to-date sales for 2011 already rank as the second-best year in the U.S. for Audi, only trailing only the record 101,629 sales established in 2010.
Two models in Audi’s lineup have recorded a decrease: the A3 model (-33.8 %) and the Q7 SUV (-10.0 %).
The TT coupe (+133.7 %), A5 (21.5 %) and Q5 SUV (24.3 %) all had strong sales performances.
The luxurious A8 model recorded an increase of 991.4 percent to 382 vehicles ( October 2010 – 35 vehicles).
Sales of the Audi A6 rose 43.9% to 1,186 vehicles compared to October 2010 A6 sales.
