Mercedes-Benz USA said Tuesday that U.S. car sales in October rose 28.2 percent to 24, 449 vehicles. Until now (YTD), the German premium automaker has sold 206,632 vehicles, 12 percent more compared to the same period of the 2010 (184,431 vehicles).
Mercedes said the C-Class and E-Class model lines were the best-sellers this month. The new 2012 C Class model – gateway to the Mercedes-Benz brand for younger and first-time Mercedes-Benz buyers – led the pack with sales of 7,084, up 87.9% from October 2010.
On the same time, the E Class model followed with sales of 4,516 units.
Total diesel units sold for October were up 110.9% with sales of 1,930 (vs. 915 units sold in Oct. 2010).
