Jaguar is working on a wagon variant of their popular XF model, and now the British automaker has confirmed that its official debut will be held at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
As expected, the model will be identical to the sedan up until the C-pillar just aft of the rear doors.
From there back, it will feature its own unique styling as we can see from these spy photos released directly from Jaguar’s UK offices themselves.
Main competition will be the Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5-Series Touring and the new upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake.
The more practical version of the premium XF model will carry the same exact engine lineup as the sedan variant ranging from the frugal 190HP 2.2-liter turbodiesel all the way up to a 510HP turbocharged V8 petrol for the range-topping XF-R model.
Look for the XF Sportbrake to formally bow at the Geneva Motor Show in early March.
