Aston Martin has just pulled the wraps off the brand new Vanquish Volante, which will go on sale across the European continent over the following months.
After it was spied numerous times and rumored to be unveiled in Geneva or Shanghai this spring, the brand new Aston Martin Vanquish Volante is finally here. The sports car is the drop top version of the new Vanquish and it’s the company’s first ever model to come with a carbon fiber body, allowing its total weight to stand at 1,844 kg (4,065 lbs), becoming just 9 kg (19,8 lbs) heavier than its solid roof brother.
The new Aston Martin Vanquish Volante has a triple skin lightweight fabric roof which can fold in just 14 seconds. The model is borrowing the same cabin layout and exterior design from the regular Vanquish and, just like the coupe, the convertible is powered by the 6.0 liter V12 engine, which is producing a total output of 573 HP (421 kW) at 6,750 rpm and it has a peak torque of 620 Nm (457 lb-ft), available at 5,500 rpm. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 4.1 seconds and top speed stands at 294 km/h (183 mph). In Europe, the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante starts at 264,995 EUR, in the UK at 199,995 GBP and in the U.S. at 297,995 USD.
