SsangYong has officially announced its plans to introduce a new compact crossover, called the Tivoli.
Nissan has opened a new segment with the Juke and since then it has been followed by several vehicles, including the Renault Captur, the Opel Mokka, the Ford EcoSport, Peugeot 2008, Chevrolet Trax and so on. Now, years after the Nissan Juke has been introduced, another carmaker will be developing a model for the B-segment. The company is called SsangYong and the vehicle Tivoli and this has been already spied in numerous occasions but it is now officially confirmed.
The Tivoli name is coming from an Italian town located 30 km from Rome and it will be standing in at 4,195 mm in length, similar to the XIV concepts (XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure). The cabin of the model should be spacious enough and it will be providing a design which will be similar to other South Korean vehicles. We are not sure what will be found under the hood of the Tivoli but chances are it will be a 1.6 liter gasoline and a 1.6 liter diesel burner, both of them Euro 6-compliant. The SsangYong Tivoli will be introduced sometimes in 2016.
