If you’re a highly successful individual looking for an exquisite supercar, better hurry and call whomever you call to handle your private car collection – the final new Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta is in sight.
The Prancing Horse house will set to produce the 210th unit of the open-top hypercar, with the sale actually reaching a yet unannounced charity. RM Sotheby’s will handle the auction event, taking place on September 9 – and we may remember the very last LaFerrari coupe grabbed $7 million so the Aperta could easily top the figure. And we hope it does, since it’s for a good cause.
Ferrari actually decided to only manufacture 209 examples of the Aperta – but just like with the coupe they optioned one final build for a charity. Ferrari hasn’t actually presented the 210th Aperta because the model hasn’t been manufactured yet, but the company did promise a bespoke livery to go along with its special status. The company, when it started taking orders for the Aperta actually sent keys of the car to important clients and asked them if they want dibs – even without actually seeing the car – meaning the sale is a very rare opportunity for someone outside this rather closed group to own a new Aperta fresh from the factory floor.
