New spy photos with the Opel Adam Cabrio have recently hit the web as the model in question has been spotted while being tested in a cold weather environment.
The Opel Adam has dropped its solid roof for a fabric top which can be seen in the images posted below. The model in question is following the same path as the Fiat 500C and the Citroen DS3 Cabrio, with the fabric top which can roll all the way to the top of the boot. The system is similar to the one Renault used for the Twingo. The Opel Adam Cabrio will probably be unveiled during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in March, or even this fall, during the Paris Motor Show.
No mechanical changes will be made to the Adam Cabrio and the model will still be produced in Eisenach, Germany, and it will still have the same front-engine, front-wheel drive configuration. The engine lineup will still be made from the 1.0 liter turbo I3, the 1.2 liter I4 and the 1.4 liter I4, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The solid roof version of the Adam stands at 3,698 mm in length, 1,720 mm in width and 1,484 mm in height.
