A series of important updates have been recently announced by Opel for the Adam city cruiser, treat which should be adopted by the model as soon as possible.
One of the sleekest small cars money can buy these days is definitely the Opel Adam because it is offering a lot for the money, including a modern look which says that it is ready to battle against one of the most popular vehicles in the segment, the Fiat 500. But selling the Adam should be quite easy and in order to become even easier, the carmaker has announced a series of updates for it.
According to the German based automaker, the Opel Adam can receive the Swing Top canvas roof which is found on the Adam Rocks, and the model equipped with this will be setting you back for 14,990 euros, VAT included. The retractable roof will open in 5 seconds and it can be closed, apparently, at speeds up to 140 km/h (87 mph), so putting it up again will be no problem if it starts raining.
Besides the new retractable roof, Opel is also offering the new Easytronic 3.0 automated transmission for the Adam. This is offering a shorter response in times and smoother gear shifts, according to the car manufacturer, and it will also help the model reduce its fuel consumption and improve its CO2 emissions by approximately 8 percent. The gearbox will be setting you back for 600 euros, on its homeland. The changes will be adopted by the Adam right away.
