The German bas automaker Opel is planning to develop an OPC version of the newest model in its lineup, the Adam, as well as Vauxhall, which might produce the Adam VXR.
After it was officially presented to the public for the first time during the 2012 Paris Motor Show in September, the new Opel Adam is ending up in our news once again, this time with a rumor, which is saying that the model might get an OPC version, in order to battle the Fiat 500 Abarth. The model is expected to be equipped with an aggressive body kit, with a sport tuned suspension, with new larger rims and with a revised interior.
Power to the Opel Adam OPC is expected to be provided by a turbocharged version of the 1.6 liter engine, which will produce a total output of 192 horsepower (141 kW) and 230 Nm of torque (170 lb-ft). Even if the model won’t make it into production, one thing is for sure, the new 1.0 liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine, which will develop more than 100 HP, will make its way under the hood of the model. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the Adam OPC for the moment.
