Opel has announced the pricing list for the new Astra generation which is getting ready to be sold on its local market.
According to the car manufacturer, the cheapest version of the 2016 Opel Astra will have a starting price of 17,960 euros and it will be getting a 1.0 liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine under its hood, which is capable of producing a total output of 105 HP (77 kW). The model will be getting the standard 5-speed transmission under its hood and this configuration will allow it to eat 4.3 liters of fuel every 100 km (65.6 mpg UK / 54.7 mpg US) and to emit 99 g/km of CO2.
There is also an automated 5-speed gearbox option which will lower the fuel consumption to 4.2L / 100km (56 mpg UK / 67.2 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions to 96 g/km. A more economical version of the new Opel Astra K is the 1.6 liter CDTI which has a base starting price of 20,260 euros. This is getting the 1.6 liter diesel engine under its hood which is offered in two outputs, with 95 HP (70 kW) And with 136 HP (100 kW). With the 6-speed manual transmission, this car will be eating up 3.4 liters of fuel every 100 km (69.1 mpg UK / 83 mpg US) and it will be emitting just 90 g/km of CO2. Some of the options available for the new Astra K include the LED IntelliLux adaptive headlights for 1,150 euros, the Opel Eye front camera, ergonomic driver’s seat and so on.
