With just a day after the new generation of the Opel Astra has been officially unveiled, its four-door body style is coming into our attention.
The at first, in a 5-door hatchback body style but knowing how GM works, we can dare to say that this will also gain a new GTC 3-door version, a 5-door wagon and, last but not least, a four-door sedan. The image posted above is showing us how the sedan version of the compact car may look like but before rushing to your local Opel dealership and placing an order, you should know that this is nothing more than a simple rendering at this time, signed by X-Tomi Design.
The new generation of the Opel Astra has a completely new design which does not resemble its predecessor. The model has some sharp lines, a new arrangement for the C pillar, a more sloped roof line and more. Some of the goodies found on it include the multiple safety gizmos, the 18-way adjustable seat for the driver with massage, ventilation and heating functions, the 8-inch touch screen display, the OnStar and much more. The engine lineup of the new German car includes the 1.0 liter three-cylinder Ecotec in the entry-level version, producing 105 HP (77 kW), being followed by the 1.4L Ecotec with its 145 HP (107 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. The base diesel engine is the 95 HP (70 kW) 1.6L CDTI.
