The new generation of the Opel Astra Sedan will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 Moscow Motor Show, along with the new 1.6 liter SIDI ECOTEC engine.
According to the German based automaker, the new generation of the Opel Astra Sedan will make its world debut at the 2012 Moscow Motor Show this autumn and, besides the model, the company will also present the 1.6 liter SIDI ECOTEC engine, which is getting an impressive torque figure. The new generation of the Opel Astra Sedan will be 4,658 mm long, 1,814 mm wide and 1,476 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,685 mm long.
The trunk space of the Opel Astra Sedan is more spacious than the hatchback versions (460 liters), but it’s still 30 liters smaller than the Astra Classic III. Opel will also present, during the same Russian automotive event, the new 1.6 liter 1,598 cc inline four-cylinder direct injected turbocharged engine, which is coming with 300 Nm of torque and it’s equipped with the start/stop technology. The unit will arrive in showrooms in early 2013. Besides the new Astra Sedan and the 1.6 liter engine, Opel will also present the Mokka, the Astra OPC And the Astra Sports Tourer facelift, during the 2012 Moscow Motor Show.
