The rendering with the Opel Cascada OPC has recently made its way onto the web, giving us a first glimpse into a possible production version of the model.
The Opel Cascada OPC is very much a reality considering the fact that almost every Opel model has an OPC version and the fact that the model is battling with the Audi A5 Cabrio. The image posted above is a rendering made by Theophilus Chin which is giving us a first glimpse into what the final production version of the model might look like. We can clearly see the new front grille, the redesigned side skirts or the bigger wheels, which will help it stand out from a crowd.
As a quick reminder, the Opel Cascada has been described as the spiritual successor of the Rekord and Kapitan and the model has an Astra inspired interior design. The electrically operated soft-top can open in 17 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h (31 mph). Engine options will include the 1.4 liter Turbo, with 120 HP (88 kW) and 140 HP (103 kW), a 1.6 liter SIDI Turbo with 170 HP (125 kW) and 280 Nm of torque (206 lb-ft), a 2.0 liter CDTI ecoFLEX, with 165 HP (121 kW) and 380 Nm of torque (280 lb0ft) and a 2.0 liter BiTurbo CDTI ecoFLEX with 195 HP (143 kW) and 400 Nm of torque (295 lb-ft). Prices for the model in Germany have been set at 25,945 euros.
