Opel Corsa S comes to life image

With the same motivation as seen on the Adam S – the all-new Corsa S version is a model that bridges the gap between the regular model and the high-performance OPC version.

Opel’s Corsa S will draw its power from a 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline unit, delivering 150 horsepower (112 kilowatts) to the front wheels using a purist-pleasing six-speed manual transmission – and the automaker is offering it on both three- and five-door models. Motivated by the compact turbo heart, the car can accelerate from zero to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 8.9 seconds, before topping out at 129 mph (207 kph). “The new Corsa S is exactly the right choice for all sporty drivers who need a few more horsepower under the hood, but want a little more space than in the ADAM S,” explains Opel.

The new performance hatchback does get the complete OPC aerodynamic treatment, with front spoiler, side skirts, a rear bumper diffuser in body color, and a fixed rear boot wing. Exterior features also include chrome tailpipe, LED daytime running lights, and 17-inch five-spoke alloys. Inside the cabin there’s a classic sporty feeling – flat-bottomed steering wheel, Recaro leather sports seats, piano black trim with contrasting red details, and tinted rear windows. The Corsa S also packs the Radio R 4.0 IntelliLink infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as Opel OnStar services. Pricing kicks off at €18,400 for the three-door, and at €19,085 for the larger five-door.
