Opel Corsa SUV will catch the production line image

The German car manufacturer Opel will develop a new SUV, based on the Corsa hatchback model.

Designed for drivers who are looking for something with more comfort and room with a feeling of extra safety, the new Corsa hatchback SUV was caught by photographers making its first drive on the Nurburgring track.

The new Opel Corsa based SUV will probably get a new design in order to match the new Astra or the Insignia and will battle the Fiesta-based SUV, the Nissan Juke, the Audi Q3 and BMW’s X1 and Mini Countryman.

Being a subsidiary of the General Motors Company, Opel could sell its new SUV under the Chevrolet badge, fact proven by the GM’s justification of developing the new model.

According to GM, the new Corsa SUV will be available in all major auto markets around the world, with the car being considered to be a much too bigger step for Europe.
