Opel has recently announced that the Insignia will get an LPG version, which will allow the model to achieve a total range of over 1,200 km.
Even if the German based automaker is currently working on the facelifted version of the Insignia, that doesn’t mean that the current one can be left aside so the company has decided to offer the current model with an LPG version. According to the car manufacturer, the Opel Insignia LPG will get a 1.4 liter turbocharged ecoFLEX engine, which will allow the model to achieve a total range of more than 1,200 km with both tanks full. The gas tank has 42 liters and it can offer a 500 km range on the highway.
The Opel Insignia LPG will go on sale next month (August) and, according to the company, the model will cost 28,150 euros in Germany, 4,700 euros more than the regular version. Unfortunately this is all we’ve got on the Opel Insignia LPG for the moment but we will keep you updated on the subject. More details on the Opel Insignia LPG will be announced in August, close to the model’s launch.
