Opel Insignia has been designated the best used car in the mid-size class by the German used car report 2013 compiled by GTU.
The GTU (Gesellschaft für Technische Überwachung mbH/Association for Technical Supervision) based its report on the results of over 5 million general inspections carried out on around 240 different car models over the last two years and awarded the Opel Insignia top marks in all categories.
“It is nice to see that the Opel Insignia is leading the mid-size segment for the second consecutive year. And not just in the one to three year-old category, but also in the four to five year-old middle-class model group,” said Rayner de Biasi, GTU managing director.
„Its superb workmanship and excellent quality really come to the fore during the general inspections, giving it the best values to make it the clear winner in the mid-size class,” he added.
The Opel Insignia comes in three body variants, each with a choice of ten engines with manual and automatic transmission versions. There are also versions with intelligent all-wheel drive, eco-friendly ecoFLEX variants and an LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) version.
