Opel Mokka gains new engine image

Opel has officially announced the introduction of a new engine to the Mokka family.

The subcompact model signed by Opel and offered across the Old Continent, the Mokka, has recently received a new engine which will be completing its lineup. According to the German based automaker, the Opel Mokka has gained a new entry-level diesel unit, in the shape of the 1.6 liter CDTI.

“The Opel Mokka is the most successful SUV in its class in Germany and a true brand ambassador for Opel throughout Europe. To date, it has been ordered over 400,000 times. From now on, driving an Opel Mokka will be even more affordable and safer. The entry into the whisper diesel world is now possible starting at euro 24,185 – euro 500 less than so far (RRP including VAT in Germany)”, says the carmaker in its press release.

The 1.6L CDTI diesel burner is capable of putting down a total of 110 HP (81 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque. This is translated into a 12.5s time from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) and a fuel consumption of between 4.1l and 4.3l / 100km. The model in question will be offered for sale soon and it will also gain the OnStar and two new exterior colors, the True Blue metallic and the Abalone Whit, along with the Black Roof Edition adding the high-gloss black side mirrors and roof. Prices for the vehicle will begin from 24,185 euros.
