Opel Mokka gets over 25,000 orders image

Opel has recently announced that over 25,000 orders have been received for the new Mokka urban crossover.

The Opel Mokka seems to be a success and even if the model will be officially presented to the public next month during the Paris Motor Show and it didn’t even arrive in showrooms just yet, the German based automaker is saying that over 25,000 orders have been received for the urban crossover until now. The main markets where demand for the Opel Mokka is high are Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy, along with other countries on the Old Continent.

“Now that we have the Mokka, we can open a new chapter in our product offensive. The level of orders is showing that the Mokka is what we need. Its technologies, dynamic design and everything else are appreciated by our customers”, said Alfred E., the Opel vice president for Sales and Marketing.

Future owners of the Opel Mokka have to choose between three engines, with the entry-level version being offered with a 1.6 liter ecoFLEX, which is developing a total output of 115 horsepower. Other units available for the Opel Mokka are the 1.4 liter Turbo with 140 HP and 200 Nm of torque or the 1.7 liter diesel with 130 HP. The model can also get all-wheel drive for the two upper engines and automatic transmission is offered as an option. The Opel Mokka is based on the Corsa.
