General Motors has recently announced its plans to introduce the Opel Mokka to Australia, where the small crossover should be priced between AUD25,000 and AUD30,000.
The Opel Mokka is getting ready to make its way onto the market in Australia, where the model will get features like the rearview camera as standard, the Opel Eye front camera with forward collision alert and lane departure warning, amongst others. The Mokka is coming in several versions on the Old Continent, and the model can be had with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive, so the same variants are also expected to make their way onto the Australian market.
As for the engine lineup, the Australian Opel Mokka is expected to the get same 1.4 liter turbocharged engine from the Holden Cruze, which is good for 103 kW and 200 Nm of torque, mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint with this unit takes 9.9 seconds. A 1.7 liter turbo diesel engine, with 96 kW and 300 Nm of torque is also expected to make its way onto the Australian Mokka, along with a 1.6 liter 85 kW.
